The Luminary Project is genuinely concerned about the privacy of its users, and is committed to providing a secure environment for the free flow of information. This site is open to all visitors to read, search, browse, and download, at no cost. Visitors need not register or give any personal identification to use the public areas. No software or hardware techniques are employed to covertly capture a user's name or email address.

When you submit your story, we ask for basic contact information such as your name, telephone number, email address, and location. We also ask that you provide contact information for a peer or supervisor who is familiar with your work and could confirm your story.

We will use this information to contact you if we have questions about your submission. We also include basic information about you - your name and location - as part of your story on the site. If you choose to be a mentor to other Luminaries or potential Luminaries, we share your contact information with those interested in the mentor program through our website. Additionally, we may use this information for other purposes, such as contacting you about other programs or activities associated with the Luminary Project. The Luminary Project will never share your personal information with outside companies for marketing purposes.

Your Choices
To submit a Luminary story, we ask that you include your name, location, and contact information for you and a supervisor or peer who is familiar with your work and could confirm your story. To describe your location, you may choose to provide either your facility name or the names of your city and state. You may also choose to be a mentor to other nurses interested in lighting the way in their facilities. Participation in this mentor program is optional, and means sharing your contact information with other Luminaries or potential Luminaries through our website. If you do not want to be contacted about other programs or activities of The Luminary Project, you can contact us using the information listed below. 

Non-personal Information
We may use certain tools to generate statistics about how many people visit pages on our site, and to evaluate the technical operation of our website. These tools do not collect personal information about our visitors. We do not use cookies to collect personal information.

Links and Partners
The Luminary Project may partner with or link to other organizations to provide information and services to users, and their pages are governed by their own privacy policies. The Luminary Project cannot be held accountable for the policies or practices of these third parties.
